Interesting Automatic Cub Yamaha Lexam

Yamaha Lexam using the new platform, but the SOHC engine, 2 valve that carries a volume of 113.7 cc cylinder has a bore x stroke is the same with Vega ZR. Equally 50mmx 57.9 mm.
But Yamaha Lexam delivers more power than the ZR Vega, Yamaha Lexam produce 8.69hp, while Yamaha Vega ZR only 8.02 hp. Perhaps this is because the use of a larger carburetor,25mm Mikuni carburetor Lexam wear, moderate wear Vega ZR 17mm Mikuni.

Yamaha used technology Yamaha Compact Automatic Transmission (YCAT). The position of a continuously variable transmission (CVT) is on the right engine in place of a double clutch / automatic clutch on cub. From the CVT is then transferred power to the chain on the left side of the machine after the previous pass through the clutch.

However YCAT is claimed to have several advantages. Among its ability to reduce heat engine that can make the belt (belt CVT) does not wear out quickly and efficiently send power from the engine.
Yamaha equip Lexam with CVT with a cooling flow of air system without a hitch. Air is taken directly from the outside through a ventilation trunk for later distributed on the space V-Belt.
The Trunk is equipped with cooling air filters with a layer of oil. Position the filter and place of entry of the flow of air from outside is also placed on, in order to freely Lexam hit a puddle of water.
